nor·def·rin hy·dro·chlo·ride (nor-defґrin) an adrenergic agent isomeric with epinephrine, having significant central stimulant action and almost no vasoconstrictor action; the levo-isomer, levonordefrin (q.v.), is usually used when vasoconstriction is desired. Called also homoarterenol hydrochloride.
