nic·o·tin·ic (nik″o-tinґik) denoting the effect of nicotine and other drugs in initially stimulating and subsequently, in high doses, inhibiting neural impulses at autonomic ganglia and the neuromuscular junction. See also nicotinic receptors, under receptor.
