me·clo·fen·am·ate sodium (mek″lo-fenґə-māt) [USP] a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and other rheumatic and nonrheumatic inflammatory disorders, pain, dysmenorrhea, idiopathic hypermenorrhea, and vascular headaches; administered orally or rectally.
