iri·dos·chi·sis (ir″ĭ-dosґkĭ-sis) [irido- + -schisis] splitting of the mesodermal stroma of the iris into two layers so that the anterior section separates and disintegrates into fibrils, the unattached ends of which float freely in the anterior chamber.
