Excretion of abnormally large amounts of calcium in the urine, as in hyperparathyroidism and types of hereditary hypophosphatemic rickets. SYN: calcinuric diabetes, hypercalcinuria, hypercalcuria.

hy·per·cal·ci·uria (hi″pər-kal″se-uґre-ə) excess of calcium in the urine, such as in hypercalcemic conditions or in defective renal tubular reabsorption of calcium; some types predispose the patient to formation of renal calculi.
