2) an amorphous water-soluble mixture of glycosides of digitalis used similarly to digitalis

git·a·lin (jitґə-lin) a mixture of the digitalis glycosides gitoxin, gitaloxin, and digitoxin, having the same actions and uses as for digitalis; administered orally. Called also amorphous g.
