gem·i·na·tion (jem″ĭ-naґshən) a doubling; a form of fusion of two teeth that results in the formation of two teeth or of a double crown formed on a single root with a single pulp canal. The term is usually applied to fusion of two supernumerary teeth or union of one supernumerary with a regular tooth.
