epen·dy·mo·blas·to·ma (ə-penґdə-mo-blas-toґmə) a rare malignant tumor composed of primitive ependymal cells. Some neuropathologists classify such tumors as malignant forms of ependymoma but some consider them a type of primitive neuroectodermal tumor.
