en·do·don·tol·o·gy (en″do-don-tolґə-je) [end- + odont- + -logy] the scientific study of the dental pulp and associated processes in health and disease. In current usage, this term has a broader sense than endodontics, which is restricted to the pulp in situations of injury or disease. Sometimes the terms are used interchangeably.
