el·e·doi·sin (el-ə-doiґsin) an endecapeptide from the posterior salivary gland of a species of small octopus (Eledone), which is a precursor of a large group of biologically active peptides. It has vasodilator, hypotensive, and extravascular smooth muscle stimulant properties.
