- 1. [TA] SYN: horn. 2. Any structure composed of horny substance. 3. One of the coronal extensions of the dental pulp underlying a cusp or lobe. 4. The major divisions of the gray columns of the spinal cord (anterior horn, lateral horn, posterior horn). [TA] the most caudal parts of the intermediate sacral crest. On each side they form the lateral margin of the sacral hiatus and articulate with the coccygeal cornua.
