EMC virus

EMC virus
encephalomyocarditis virus a virus of the genus Cardiovirus found in Africa, South America, and elsewhere, which causes mild aseptic meningitis in humans and encephalomyocarditis in pigs and certain nonhuman primates. There are several different strains that are substantially identical in immunologic and other respects, including the Columbia SK virus and the Mengo virus.
