double-outlet right ventricle

double-outlet right ventricle
incomplete transposition of the great vessels in which both the aorta and the pulmonary artery arise from the right ventricle of the heart, associated with a ventricular septal defect. The defect may be remote from or close to either or both semilunar valves; it may be related to the aorta (subaortic), to the pulmonary trunk (subpulmonic), to both vessels (doubly committed), or to neither (uncommitted); and it may be associated with pulmonary stenosis.
