UTP–glucose-1-phosphate uridylyltransferase
UTP–glu·cose-1-phos·phate uri·dyl·yl·trans·fer·ase (glooґkōs fosґfāt u″rĭ-dilґəl-transґfər-ās) [EC 2.7.7.9] an enzyme of the transferase class that catalyzes the reaction UTP + glucose 1-phosphate = pyrophosphate + UDP-glucose, a reaction in the glycogen storage mechanism. Called also UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase.
