- Uri·cult (uґrĭ-kəlt) trademark for a bacterial culture device, consisting of a glass slide in a sterile plastic container. On one face of the slide a 13 cm2 area is coated with MacConkey medium; on the other a similar area is coated with nutrient agar. The slide is dipped into freshly voided urine, removed, and replaced in the container, where growth takes place.
