ectopic ureter

ectopic ureter
a ureter that opens elsewhere than in the bladder wall, usually arising from the upper segment of a double kidney. In women it may open in the vestibule, terminal urethra, vagina, cervix, or uterine cavity; in men it invariably enters the genital or urinary tract above the level of the external sphincter.
