unspecific monooxygenase
un·spe·cif·ic mono·oxy·ge·nase (un″spə-sifґik mon″o-okґsə-jən-ās) [EC 1.14.14.1] a broadly specific monooxygenase for which the hydrogen donor is a reduced flavoprotein; it contains cytochrome P-450 as its oxygen activator. It acts on a wide range of substrates, including xenobiotics, steroids, fatty acids, vitamins, and prostaglandins.
