gastrointestinal tularemia
a rare form of tularemia that follows ingestion of large numbers of Francisella tularensis, characterized by cramping abdominal pain, acute watery diarrhea, fever, and, infrequently, superficial ulcerations of the colon resulting in bloody diarrhea or acute hemorrhage with minimal diarrhea.
