warty tuberculosis a type of cutaneous tuberculosis consisting of a wartlike lesion, acquired accidentally by inoculation from an infected source; usually seen in those having a degree of immunity or tuberculin sensitivity because of previous infection or contact with Mycobacterium spp. Called also t. cutis verrucosa. It has been called by many names referring to the mode of transmission, such as anatomical, necrogenic, postmortem, prosector's, and tuberculous wart.
