[USP] the diacetate ester of triamcinolone, having actions similar to those of the base and used as an antiinflammatory and immunosuppressant in a wide variety of disorders; administered orally and by intra-articular, intrasynovial, intralesional, sublesional, soft tissue, or intramuscular injection.
