Adson test

Adson test
(for thoracic outlet syndrome) the sitting patient breathes in deeply and holds the breath, then hyperextends the neck and turns the head toward the affected side. If the radial pulse on that side is significantly diminished, the result is considered positive. The test has been found to be nonspecific. Called also Adson maneuver.
