tau·tom·er·al (taw-tomґər-əl) [tauto- + mer-1 + -al1] pertaining to the same part, especially sending processes to help in the formation of the white matter in the same side of the spinal cord; said of certain neurons and neuroblasts. See tautomeral cells, under cell.
