tam·su·lo·sin hy·dro·chlo·ride (tam-sooґlo-sin) an α1-adrenergic blocking agent specific for the receptors in the prostate; used to improve urine flow rate and reduce symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia, administered orally.
