occipital horn syndrome

occipital horn syndrome
a mild allelic variant of Menkes disease, characterized by hyperelastic and bruisable skin, hernias, bladder diverticula and dysfunction, hyperextensible joints, varicosities, multiple skeletal abnormalities, and relatively normal intelligence. Characteristic exostoses, resulting from calcification, occur at the sites of muscular attachment to the occipital skull. Called also X-linked cutis laxa.
