KlÑŒver-Bucy syndrome

KlÑŒver-Bucy syndrome
bizarre behavior disturbances seen in monkeys following experimental bilateral temporal lobectomy which destroys important limbic structures; reported in humans after large injuries, usually from trauma, affecting the undersurface of the anterior temporal lobes. It is characterized by a tendency to examine objects orally, depression of drive and emotional reactions, hypermetamorphosis, and lack of sexual inhibitions.
