su·per·vas·cu·lar·iza·tion (soo″pər-vas″ku-lər-ĭ-zaґshən) in radiotherapy, the relative increase in vascularity that occurs when tumor cells are destroyed so that the remaining tumor cells are better supplied by the (uninjured) capillary stroma.
