strontium 87m

a metastable radioactive isotope of strontium, atomic mass 87, having a half-life of 2.80 hours and decaying with emission of gamma rays (0.388 MeV); it is used in the form of the chloride or nitrate salt as a radioactive tracer in bone imaging.
