saltatory spasm
clonic spasm of the muscles of the lower limbs, producing a peculiar jumping or springing motion, seen in conditions such as Gilles de la Tourette syndrome, saltatory chorea, and the jumping diseases. Called also Bamberger disease, dancing spasm, and saltatory tic.
