Sorghum

Sorghum
Sor·ghum (sōrґgum) a genus of grasses (family Gramineae); several species are sources of the syrup called sorghum. Three species, S. halepenґse (Johnson grass), S. sudanenґse (Sudan grass), and S. vulgaґre (also called S. biґcolor), are commonly used as fodder for cattle and horses but contain cyanogenetic compounds and when eaten fresh can cause cyanide poisoning. Johnson grass and Sudan grass can cause hay fever.
