sodium chromate Cr 51
sodium chromate prepared using the radioactive isotope chromium 51; used as a biological tracer to tag erythrocytes and estimate red cell or whole blood volume as well as for red cell survival time demonstrations and sequestration studies, and for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal bleeding. Labeled platelets are used for platelet survival studies.
