lymphocyte series

lymphocyte series
lymphocytic series a series of morphologically distinguishable cells once thought to represent stages in lymphocyte development: in order of maturity, the lymphoblast, “prolymphocyte,” and lymphocyte. It is now known that lymphocyte precursors are morphologically indistinguishable from small lymphocytes and that lymphoblasts are not precursors but activated lymphocytes that have been transformed in response to antigenic stimulation.
