Manson schistosomiasis
schistosomiasis mansoni infection with Schistosoma mansoni, which lives mainly in the inferior and superior mesenteric veins but migrates to deposit eggs in venules, primarily of the large intestine. Eggs lodging in the liver may lead to peripheral fibrosis, hepatosplenomegaly, and ascites. Called also Manson disease.
