ret·e·plase (retґə-plās) a deletion mutant of alteplase (recombinant tissue plasminogen activator) produced by recombinant DNA technology and having a longer half-life than the parent compound; used as a thrombolytic agent in the treatment of myocardial infarction, administered intravenously.
