Shwartzman reaction localized
a localized cutaneous reaction consisting of vascular necrosis, petechial hemorrhages, and leukocyte infiltration that occurs at the site of an original subcutaneous injection of endotoxin approximately 24 hours after an intravenous injection of the same or another endotoxin given at a site other than the original injection site.
