protein disulfide-isomerase
- protein disulfide-isomerase
- pro·tein di·sul·fide-isom·er·ase (proґtēn di-sulґfīd-i-somґə-rās) [EC 5.3.4.1] an enzyme of the isomerase class that catalyzes the rearrangement of disulfide bonds within proteins during folding. It is a monomer identical to one of the subunits of prolyl 4-hydroxylase (q.v.). Called also disulfide isomerase.
