prednisolone sodium phosphate
[USP] a water-soluble ester of prednisolone, having a rapid onset and short duration of action; administered orally or by intramuscular injection in replacement therapy for adrenocortical insufficiency, orally or by intravenous, intramuscular, intra-articular, intralesional, or soft-tissue injection as an antiinflammatory and immunosuppressant in a wide variety of disorders, and applied topically to the conjunctiva in the treatment of allergy and inflammation.
