[NF] the monopotassium salt, KH2PO4; used as a buffering agent in pharmaceutical preparations. It is also used, alone or in combination with other phosphate compounds, as an electrolyte replenisher, administered orally or intravenously, and as a urinary acidifier or antiurolithic, administered orally.
