polypropylene
poly·pro·py·lene (pol″e-proґpə-lēn″) a widely used synthetic crystalline, thermoplastic polymer with a molecular weight of 40,000 or more, having the general formula (C3H5)n. Medical uses include the manufacture of nonabsorbable sutures, surgical casts, and semipermeable membranes for membrane oxygenators.
