polyneuropathy associated with amyloidosis, of either the primary (AL) or familial type; symptoms may include dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, carpal tunnel syndrome, and sensory disturbances in the extremities such as numbness, hyperesthesia, or paresthesia.
