permselectivity

permselectivity
perm·se·lec·tiv·i·ty (pərm″sə-lek-tivґĭ-te) restriction of the permeation of macromolecules across a glomerular capillary wall. A major factor is molecule size relative to the size of the pores through the wall; other important factors include the electrical charge of the molecule versus that of the wall or pore and the physical configuration of the molecule.
