- pe·do·baro·graph (pe″do-barґo-graf) [pedo-2 + baro- + graph] an apparatus for recording dynamic variations in downward pressure by different areas of the sole of a foot as a person stands upright or walks. A common type places the subject above a sheet of deformable white film over a glass plate; light reflects differently at different areas on the under side of the plate according to variations in pressure on the plastic sheet, and the differences are recorded.
