mesenteric panniculitis

mesenteric panniculitis
inflammation with variable fibrosis of mesenteric fat, usually of the small intestine, causing a solid mass that may displace or obstruct the intestine. Some authorities consider this an inflammatory variant of retractile mesenteritis. Called also mesenteric lipodystrophy.
