universal pacemaker

universal pacemaker
a term sometimes used to describe a DDD pacemaker, emphasizing that because it can be programmed to operate in one of numerous possible pacemaker modes under specific circumstances, it can be made to most closely approximate normal electrophysiologic functioning under a variety of conditions.
