- myopectineal orifice of Fruchaud a region of the groin bounded superiorly by the internal oblique and transversus abdominis muscles, medially by the rectus abdominis muscle, laterally by the iliopsoas muscle, and inferiorly by Cooper ligament and the pubis. It transmits the spermatic cord and femoral vessels; all inguinal hernias begin as weak areas in this orifice.
