parietal operculum

parietal operculum
operculum parietale [TA] the portion of the insular opercula within the parietal lobe, corresponding to the lower end of the postcentral gyrus and the anterior and lower part of the inferior parietal lobule. It has often been considered as a portion of the operculum frontoparietale (q.v.).
