oligo-14-14-glucantransferase
- oligo-14-14-glucantransferase
- ol·i·go-1,4-1,4-glu·can·trans·fer·ase (ol″ĭ-go-gloo″kan-transґfər-ās) an enzyme activity catalyzing the transfer of short α-1,4 linked glucose chains from side chains of limit dextrins to new α-1,4 linkages on main chains or glucose, thereby exposing α-1,6 branch points for debranching and further degradation. The enzyme activity is the transferase activity of amylo-1,6-glucosidase (q.v.).
