reticular nuclei lateral column

reticular nuclei lateral column
a pair of symmetrical groups of scattered small reticular nuclei of the brainstem, each arranged in a column lateral to the medial column reticular nuclei; most of their neurons are associative in nature. Included are the nucleus reticularis lateralis medullae oblongatae, nucleus tegmenti pedunculopontinus, nucleus reticularis parvocellularis, nucleus paragigantocellularis lateralis, nucleus parabrachialis lateralis, nucleus parabrachialis medialis, and nucleus subparabrachialis.
