[TA] medial nucleus of mammillary body: the larger, predominant mass of cells, forming the medial of the two main nuclei of the mammillary body, which receive fibers from the basal olfactory areas and the fornix, and project to the thalamus and midbrain via mammillothalamic and mammillotegmental fasciculi.
