- giant congenital pigmented nevus, giant hairy nevus, giant pigmented nevus a type of congenital hairy nevus that is particularly large (usually over 20 cm in diameter); this type is present at birth, usually bilaterally symmetric, and located on the trunk or distal part of the limbs. It may be associated with other cutaneous and subcutaneous lesions such as neurofibromas, other developmental anomalies, and occasionally malignant melanoma.
