- a rare subtype of Guillain-Barrй syndrome characterized by malfunction of peripheral nerves of the autonomic nervous system, with manifestations such as orthostatic hypotension, anhidrosis, and problems associated with lack of intestinal motility. Called also acute pandysautonomia.
